We aim to ensure that you as a customer enjoy this hobby as much as possible. so that you can enjoy the beautiful underwater world as much as we do.
With more than 22 years of experience with aquariums and more than 11 years of experience in the field of marine aquariums, we can assist you in almost every aspect. from advising and purchasing coral, fish and products to a visit to you to look at and/or solve a problem together, from care during your holiday to fully starting up and maintaining your marine aquarium, from PVC piping and systems to glass partitions, sealant work and glass drilling.

Like many people, I once started with a tropical freshwater aquarium, as I thought at the time (2002), “as much as 70 liters”. After 2 years, a 240 liter tank was added, which I started as a Malawi cichlid tank. In the 12 years since then, my collection at home has expanded to 6 different aquariums, each with their own biotope, of which I have had several. I also started in 2012 in the nice large aquarium/pond department at a garden center. I have wanted a sea aquarium for a long time and when I started in this department I really started reading and delving deeper into sea aquariums. At the end of 2013 the time had come, I kept my 300 liter aquarium with F1 peru altums and removed all the rest of the aquariums to make room for a sea aquarium, an Aquamedic percula 120. in the following 2 years I switched aquariums twice and then had a custom aquarium of 1000 liters until the start of For your reef. In 2017 I started as the first employee at Krayenhoff-Zeewater. I have been able to do and experience many different things here and have been able to expand my area of knowledge very well. In 2020, Joost (owner of Krayenhoff seawater) decided with pain in his heart to stop using Krayenhoff seawater. That was also the moment I decided to start For Your Reef. and so Krayenhoff seawater was permanently closed on November 30 and For your reef opened for the first time on December 1. At the time we started under the name Reef@home, but it soon turned out that this was not the right name and at the beginning of 2021 we decided to use the sub name For your reef as our company name. Reef@home was intended as “for your reef at your home”, but the interpretation was often “hobbyist from home” which is not entirely true. Although we have a building behind the house, we are still a fully-fledged company. In addition, we not only work with aquariums at customers’ homes, but also at companies’ offices, restaurants and others. in short, the name did not give a good impression of the company. Now it’s For your Reef, couldn’t be more clear, right?
